Tide’s End: A Just Living novel
Taylor Smythe dreams of having a loving family. But first, he has to rescue his little sister Jenny from the gritty underbelly of the child cyberporn industry. Taylor journeys from homelessness in the inner city to a community in the dripping forests of the Pacific Northwest to confront the relentless pounding of his fiercest pain.
Can he become the big brother Jenny needs right now, and for the rest of their lives?
Tide’s End: A Just Living Novel explores the many faces of sexual assault and human trafficking, and how life can shatter for those most affected – the victims.
Because #MeToo is more common than we can imagine.
As is #ChildrenToo
And even #BoysToo
It tears apart our families and neighbourhoods.
And wherever there is suffering, there are guardians and helpers who still the relentless pounding to encourage Tide’s End.
Just Living: a novel
Beth Hill is a reluctant theology student on a quest for meaning. She’s convinced that parish work would be God-awful, which leads her to Just Living, a half-way house in British Columbia. It’s a world filled with murderers, child molesters, and a circle of helpers. There, she learns about the importance of tea and scones, and that the effects of violence and murder ripple through communities for generations.
Because safety, like love, is never assured.

Peggy O'Neil- Independent Scentsy Consultant
Peggy, Abbotsford (She/Her)
I am a Scentsy Consultant and market my business through home parties(suspended during Covid), direct orders, my Personal Website and Facebook or virtual parties. Meeting one on one is also a way for my customers to "sniff" my testers to determine which scents they love (when it is safe to do so and Covid restrictions have been lifted. You can be sure when we meet I will be sporting a mask and all my testers will have been sanitized!)
My clients are reaping the benefits of hosting Facebook/Virtual Scentsy Parties. When you book an online Facebook party or an Online Party you receive the same host gifts as always. Virtual parties are fun, interactive and risk free. Follow me on Facebook to get up to date information about new products, specials and prizes.
With more than 60 warmer designs and 80 wax fragrances, we offer scent solutions for nearly every area in your home (or your home away from home). Scentsy is more than warmers and wax. We have a wide variety of products that contain scent. From laundry to body, pets to kids, Scentsy has a vast selection.
Our high-performance laundry and cleaning products are infused with fresh Scentsy fragrance for a beautiful finish.
Fragrance that feels good! Show your skin some love with nourishing formulas in expressive, all-star scents.
Take fragrance anywhere! Our on-the-go fragrance products are designed to deliver your favorite scents on every adventure great and small.
Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned and it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And because there is no flame, there is no smoke or soot. Scentsy wickless candles — Scentsy Bars — are a safer alternative to traditional candles.
Why choose me as your Scentsy Consultant?
My clients love that I provide samples, am quick to respond to enquiries and spoil them when they host a party. I also have what I call "Try me Baskets". This allows you to try a product before you purchase to make sure it is something you will enjoy.

Good Times Creations
Felicia, Abbotsford (She/He/They)
I play and record improvised piano songs, digitally recorded in high quality with a download link emailed to the customer.
I also paint and draw commissioned art pieces ,write commissioned poetry and spoken word pieces, and I'm offering to create custom drag Christmas video messages for friends and family- contact me to discuss costume options!
In September of 2019 I felt like I should get myself a piano. Strange, considering I didn't even know how to play the piano! I did take a year of lessons as a 10 year old child, mostly learning scales and playing ridiculous 20 second long songs designed to teach the skills I was supposed to be learning. Except that I hated it and quit.
Back in April I had weaned myself off of Haldol, which I had taken for 35 years in order to help control my tics from having Tourette's Syndrome. It's a brutal medicine with harsh side effects- like trying to kill a mosquito with a nuke. Soon after going off of it, my brain "woke up" after being asleep for 35 years, and tons of colour and creativity starting oozing out of every cell in my body.
The piano I found was made in Victoria, BC, and was top-tier quality. 100 years old and owned by one for family its entire life; brought home by their great. I brought it home on a jangly old trailer borrowed from a friend, and brought it up 4 floors in the elevator of my condo, close to Mill Lake.
Then it sat in the corner for 5 weeks. I didn't touch it. I was afraid of it. What had I done, bringing home an ancient instrument hewn of wood, ivory and metal?
I had just gone through a brutal divorce from my wife of 17 years, and I was having a meltdown one night. I needed to release the grief, so, I sat in The Cecilian's lap (that was his name) and what came out of me was so hauntingly beautiful that I couldn't believe my ears. I sat in the dark, in silence after I finished playing that first song. I was in shock. Where the hell did that come from, I wondered? I know now where it came from. I have lived a life intimately familiar with suffering. I learned it by passing through hell, many times. All the songs I play and record are spontaneous. Nothing is pre-written. It just flows. I don't even know how to read music.

(Note: this form should be used to report issues such as broken links on this site only. Issues related to vendor's own sites should be reported directly to the vendor.)
Free colouring & activity pages provided by Sean Evans of Queerhaven Design! Feel free to print them out & colour them in- & if you post your finished pages on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, remember to tag us- or email them to email@example.com before the end of the event to submit it to the gallery! This is the where I will put all documentation regarding money spent will go, so vendors can be sure I'm spending their fees appropriately.
Vendors: you will receive an email letting you know once more content is added to this section.
These are costs incurred aside from the event ad-buy that were paid for by me; I'm going ahead and saying that my $10 vendor fee was included in the money I already paid, and any additional start-up costs I've covered or committed to covering to this point were a form of sponsorship by my business.
Domain: $17; Ads: $25 spent (total $42 spent as of Nov 29, 2020)
$164.94 committed to 3 ads (Facebook made me set the budget the hard way)
Post-event update: Total spent on ads during the event: $164.73
The remaining $0.27 will be counted toward the pre-event costs.
Thank you again to Kelsi for kicking an extra $15 into the ad budget!
Please email me if you have any other information requests.
I ended up upgrading my own carrd account to make this site (or, in business-speak, Queerhaven donated site hosting in addition to covering the start-up costs). I'm not worrying about including the receipt here because this wasn't the only reason I did it- just the one that motivated me to actually get it done- but if anyone is upgrading or renewing their own account any time soon, using this code will give me a pretty substantial discount when I renew next time, which helps with the site hosting: PM2Y66ZZ (or use this direct link)
Costs not included (& not gonna be included, pls don't make me try to calculate this stuff) but probably still useful to record for next year:

About the market:
The 2020 Fraser Valley Queer Christmas Market is the first of what is intended to be a recurring annual event, scheduled for late November/early November each year. The market is designed as a space (right now, a digital one) for LGBTQIA2S+ and allied vendors across the Fraser Valley and surrounding communities to showcase their products.
The 2020 Fraser Valley Queer Christmas Market is a completely digital event- all shopping is done through the vendors' own online shops. The event dates provided refer to the planned paid advertising campaign; this directory will remain active until early January, to allow for late arrivals.
This market is 100% funded by its participant vendors, and all vendor fees go directly into advertising for the Market event.
About the organization team:
Currently, the market is organized by a single individual. Please email me after the market ends if you want to join the organization team for next year.

Starting this Christmas Market has been a goal of mine since 2018, and I'm incredibly excited to have finally made it happen- even if it looks a little different than I had originally imagined it!
